"Practicing Tai Chi has improved my concentration, my ability to relax and manage stress.  I can practice it in the evening after work and get a workout that doesn't leave me exhausted.  My balance, coordination, and cardiovascular system have also improved."

Why You Should Consider Sun Taiji Quan School

Sun Taiji (Tai Chi) Quan School is unlike most other Taiji schools in the Greater Delaware/Philadelphia/Baltimore Region.  Under the direction of Master Kevin Zhen Kang Sun, the school is directly linked to traditional Chinese practices with on going relationships with Taiji Grand Masters in China.

Through Master Sun's training, since childhood (Master Sun's Biography), in China, annual trips to China with Instructors and Students, and on-going relationships and study with the Grand Masters, Sun Taiji Quan School retains the qualities, traditions and virtues of Taiji in its purest form.

"As a lifetime martial arts practitioner and teacher of external styles, I can say without doubt that learning Tai Chi Chuan from Shifu Kevin Sun has improved my strength, balance and over-all well being.  Shifu Sun is a "Teacher's Teacher" and has developed World-Class technique.  Most of all he is an excellent and patient teacher."

In Taiji, there are five originating families, or styles, from China.  The ancestors of Master Sun originally practiced the Chen style of Taiji.  However, over 100 years ago, Master Sun's family developed their own style, with the basis of their style being the Chen style.  This new style was called "Sun Taiji" and has become one of the more popular styles both in China and the United States.

Master Kevin Zhen Kang Sun, is a direct blood-line descendant of the founders of Sun Taiji.  His knowledge of Sun Taiji was passed to him through generations, as he has passed on his knowledge to his school instructors.  Studying at Sun Taiji Quan School is a means to study Taiji in a manner, as it was originally and traditionally intended.

In addition to the traditions of his family style, Sun Taiji, Master Sun has extensively studied the roots of his family style, Chen style, as well as East Mountain Taiji, as developed by Professor/Master Huifeng Men.

Master Sun serves as the President of the Dong Yue Taiji Quan Association in the U.S.A.
